Lab Test Results
At ShilNepal, lab testing is a core part of how we ensure safety, authenticity, and transparency.
This page explains our independent laboratory testing in clear terms, what each result means, and how it helps you make an informed decision.
Our aim is simple: anyone reading this page should feel informed, confident, and comfortable understanding what is in our Nepalese shilajit resin.
Why Lab Testing Matters for Shilajit
Shilajit is a naturally occurring mineral and organic resin that forms in mountainous rock environments. Because of its geological origin, responsible testing is essential.
Independent laboratory testing helps confirm:
- That heavy metals are within accepted safety limits
- That the material is genuine shilajit resin
- That no unwanted contaminants are present
- That each batch is traceable and verified
Without proper testing, there is no reliable way to distinguish authentic, purified shilajit from contaminated or improperly processed material.
Independent Laboratory Analysis
The following results are taken from an analytical report issued by Eurofins Food Australia, one of the world’s largest independent laboratory testing groups.
This report focuses on heavy metal screening and safety verification for ShilNepal Nepalese Shilajit Resin.
Report Details
- Laboratory: Eurofins Food Australia
- Report ID: AR-25-NV-025372-01
- Report Date: 13/11/2025
- Product Type: Shilajit Resin
- Sample Name: ShilNepal-Nepal-Shilajit
- Sample Code: 726-2025-00063969
- Reception Date: 03/11/2025
- Reception Temperature: 20°C
These details confirm that the material tested is resin, not powder, and that the results apply specifically to the sample received by the laboratory.
Heavy Metals Screening Results
Heavy metals can occur naturally in mineral-based substances. Testing ensures that these elements are present only at controlled levels consistent with safe, responsible sourcing.
- Arsenic (As): 0.14 mg/kg
- Cadmium (Cd): 0.008 mg/kg
- Chromium (Cr): 13.1 mg/kg
- Lead (Pb): 0.89 mg/kg
- Mercury (Hg): Not detected at or above the laboratory limit of quantification
- Nickel (Ni): 1.93 mg/kg
These results confirm that heavy metals are present at levels consistent with the geological origin of authentic Himalayan shilajit resin and within accepted safety thresholds when used as directed.
Analytical Methods
Eurofins applied internal analytical methods for each element, including arsenic, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, and nickel. Testing was performed in Australia at Eurofins’ Dandenong South facility.
As noted in the report, some tests are outside the laboratory’s accreditation scope. This does not invalidate the results and is standard laboratory disclosure for transparency.
Fulvic and Humic Acid Content
Fulvic Acid Content
Fulvic acid is one of the naturally occurring organic compounds found in genuine shilajit.
Measuring fulvic acid content helps confirm that the material is authentic and not diluted or synthetic.
Our compositional analysis consistently shows a strong fulvic acid presence ranging from 79% to 81%, which is consistent with high-altitude Nepalese shilajit resin.
Humic Acid Content
Humic substances are another natural component of shilajit. Testing for humic acid helps verify the integrity and maturity of the resin.
Balanced humic and fulvic values are a strong indicator of properly formed and traditionally purified shilajit. Our results consistently show a humic acid range of 17% to 19%, which is consistent with premium resin quality.
Note: Fulvic and humic acid measurements are conducted as part of separate compositional analysis and are not included within the scope of the Eurofins heavy metals report shown above.
Batch-Specific Transparency
ShilNepal operates on a small-batch basis. Each production batch is tested individually rather than blending results across multiple harvests.
- Each batch has its own lab report
- No averaging or masking of results
- Clear traceability from testing to product
Putting the Results Into Context
Lab testing exists to provide clarity, not fear. Shilajit is a traditional substance that has been used for generations. Modern laboratory analysis adds an additional layer of confidence by confirming purity and safety using contemporary methods.
When sourced responsibly, purified traditionally, and tested independently, shilajit resin can be approached with confidence.
